Turn any assignment into a movie, quickly and easily!

This is a video we did based off of MWesch’s great work. We started a class discussing how technology impacts our lives and, in one period, turned it into a video that we could share with the wider world.

The students wrote their responses, rehearsed the choreography a few times, and shot it. We made this with the iSight camera in my computer, and I edited it with iMovie ’08 (which has a “publish to YouTube” button on it). The main objective of the lesson was to impress upon students how powerful we now are to create media and communicate with the wider world. By the next day, students were able to see themselves alongside their favorite YouTube videos.
